George Frederick Wright, 87, of Canton, passed away Saturday, January 7th, in his home. Born in Canton on August 29, 1935, a son of the late Leland Wright and Margaret (Hoffman) Schmidt, also preceded in death by loving wife Mary Sue (Maples) Wright, son Bobby Wright and grandson Michael Rossi. A retired heavy machine mechanic for Republic Steel in Canton, Ohio, George served in the U.S. Army and was a member of VFW Post 3747 and the Eagles Aerie of North Canton. Survived by daughter Sandra (Michael Harvey) Rossi, of Hollywood, Florida; 3 sisters Gay Schmidt-Ward, of Gainsville, Missouri, Rhonda Dadisman, of Orlando, Florida, Gail Bahl, of Traverse City, Michigan; 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
