Mrs. Georgia (Henry) King, a humble and gracious lady, was called to her Heavenly home on January 4, 2023, with her daughter home by her side, after living an abundant 98 years. Georgia was born in Canton, Ohio on February 3, 1924 to the late Frank and Annie Lou (Freeman) Henry. Georgia attended McKinley High School and was a member of Mt. Calvary Second Baptist Church in Canton, Ohio. She held numerous jobs during her lifetime, was very artistic and an interior decorator. Georgia met and married Charles "Charlie Blue" King whom preceded her in death. To this union God blessed them with three children; Charles (Carolyn) King of Selma, Alabama, Malik Farrakhan (Tony) King of Los Angeles, California and Victoria (King) Robison of Canton, Ohio. Georgia had 7 sisters and 2 brothers. Survived by Hattie Tramell of Canton, Ohio, preceded in death by Alice Womack, Lettie Fay (Henry) Williams, Elizabeth Henry, Corrine Henry, Frank "Bumpy" Henry, Frances (Henry) Snow, Medric Henry and Shirley Henry. God blessed Georgia with many grand, great-grand and great-great-grandchildren as well as a great-great-great-granddaughter; grandchildren Tommie Meadows, Marcus Meadows, Javis Bell, Brandon King, Rhonda King, Stephanie Owen, Chad Thornton, Stacy Thornton, Shaniah Gillian, Shannon King, Vonda Dansby, Angelo Milini, Drema Meadows; great-grandchildren Tommie Schawrtz, Lil Javis Bell, Brittney Meadows, Marquez Gordon, Darrick Hardin, Christian, Christiana, Trinity and Justice King, Tiffanie Jones, Tavia Owen, Cortez Dansby, Brooklyn Burns, Dejon Bradley; great-great-grandchildren Ta'mia Meadows, Kellen, Khalil and Cynthia King, Mar'Leah, Mar'Shay, Quavion, Tyler and Mor'quo Gordon, Jailon Nazario, Gentry and Wells Taylor, Lamar and Amyah Caldwell, Amme, Richard, Neriah and Christiana Jones, Kamrie, Kalaia and Correz Dansby; great-great-great-granddaughter Janessa Bell. Her family, a host of relatives and friends will miss and cherish her beautiful memory. A celebration of life will be held at noon on January 28th in the Mt. Calvary 2nd Missionary Baptist Church of Canton, 1000 3rd St. NE. with Pastor Willie Bell officiating.
