Gerald DeWayne Croston, 69, of Canton, passed away Thursday, June 27th, at home surrounded by his family. Born in Grafton, West Virginia on September 28, 1954, a son of the late Cecil and Geneva (Mayle) Norris. Besides his parents he is also preceded in death by infant sister Bonnie, brothers Cecil "Tex" Norris, William "Billy" Croston and nephew Edward Mayle. Survived by his loving wife Carol (Weaver) Croston; 2 daughters Alison (Joed) Masturzo, Sabrina (Maurice) Humphreys; son Gerald (Ashley) Croston II; sister Pearl Clark; 6 grandchildren Amauriana, Cam'Ryn, Maurayla, Gi'Anna, Ayasha, Anna Mae; cousins Jimmy Minard, Earsil Lee Norris, Robert Norris; sister-in-law Mary Ann Weaver as well as many other family members and friends. A funeral service will be held at 1PM on Tuesday, July 2nd, 2024 in the Waltner-Simchak Funeral Home with Brother Anthony Myers officiating. Family and friends may call 2 hours prior to services in the funeral home. Burial will take place in Evergreen Memorial Gardens of Louisville. He will always be remembered as a loving Father and Grandfather.
