Gloria A Jones, 71, of Canton, passed away Thursday, February 13th, at the Justin T Rogers Care Center. Born in Petersburg, Virginia on February 1, 1954, a daughter of the late Betty Neal. Aside from her mother, she is preceded in death by her husband Phillip Jones Sr; 2 brothers, Jimmy Barnes, Roy Barnes; 2 sister-in-laws, Brenda Redd, Carrie Jones; four brother-in-laws, Randolph Jones, Lawrence Sidberry, John Fuller, and Julio Fontes. Survived by 2 daughters Tara London, of Hampstead, North Carolina, Latasha Jones, of Canton; son Phillip L (Anne) Jones Jr, of Hampstead, North Carolina; 2 sisters Linda Barnes, Carolyn Barnes; brother Harry Barnes; 5 sister-in-laws Mamie Fontes, Giselle Sidberry, Fenita (Michael) Shepard, Arlene (Demetrius) Smith, Renee (Roosevelt) Sidberry; 7 grandchildren; 1 great-grandson; a host of nieces and nephews, as well as other family members and friends. A Funeral service will be held in the Waltner-Simchak Funeral Home on Friday, February 21st, at 12pm with Pastor Sharon Carnes officiating. Family and friends may call two hours prior. Burial will follow at the Calvary Cemetery in Massillon.
