Gregra Nicholas II, 47, of Uhrichsville passed away on Monday, July 13, 2026 in his home. Born in Canton on November 24, 1978, he was the son of the late Gregra and Theresa (Reilly) Nicholas. Gregra's life was a reflection of quiet strength, unwavering kindness, and a heart that was always open to others. He was a hardworking man who believed in doing things the right way, never shying away from lending a helping hand to anyone in need. His generosity, humility, and genuine compassion left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing him. A proud veteran of the United States Army, Gregra served his country with honor and carried that same sense of dedication and integrity throughout his life. His strong work ethic and selfless nature were evident in everything he did, earning the respect and admiration of family, friends, and neighbors alike. Outside of work, Gregra found his greatest happiness in life's simple pleasures. He loved spending time fishing, where the peacefulness of the water and the quiet of nature brought him comfort and contentment. He appreciated a calm, quiet life and treasured those moments of solitude that allowed him to recharge. Gregra's love for his family was immeasurable, and they remained at the center of his life. He was also deeply devoted to his four beloved dogs, whom he cherished as faithful companions. They brought him endless joy, and he cared for them with the same unconditional love he gave so freely to those around him. Known by many as one of the nicest people they had ever met, Gregra possessed a rare ability to make others feel valued and cared for. Whether someone needed advice, assistance, or simply a friend to listen, he was always willing to step forward without hesitation. Survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Melany (Hawthorn) Nicholas; son Donald Allen; sister Becky; brother Harold "Buddy" Reilly; as well as other loving family members and friends.
