Helen Stegeman
Helen Stegeman, 84, of Canton passed away Monday, March 12th.
Helen was born in Robertsville on January 19, 1928, and had lived in the area most of her life. The daughter of the late Louis Vasile and Anna (Niciu) Botean, also preceded in death by her husband Thomas C. Stegeman, a sister Vera Botean and two brothers John and Charles Botean.
Retired from The Hoover Company after 25 years of service. Helen devoted her life to her family and her church, a life time member of St. George Romanian Catholic Cathedral of Canton, Sf. Maria Ladies Auxiliary, and the Senior Citizens Club both of the Church. She loved her trips to Las Vegas and Mountaineer.
Survived by two sons Eugene K. (Heidi) Murari Jr., David A. (Debbie) Murari; four grandchildren, Melissa (Joe) Scheibe, Jason Murari, David (Meghan) Murari, Emily (Ben) Stoffer; two step grandchildren, Amanda (Tedd) Perkins, Abigail McDonald; ten great-grandchildren, Cody, Cole, Molly Scheibe, Haley Murari, Mercedes Sisson, Sydney, Gabriel, Sylvia Stoffer, Maximus, Afina Murari; one step great-grandson, Trevor Perkins; a brother, Nicholas Botean and his dear friend Esta; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held 10:00 AM Friday March 16th in the St. George Romanian Catholic Cathedral with the Most Rev. Bishop John Michael Botean and Very Rev. Fr. Ovidiu Marginean officiating. Friends may call Thursday 6-8 PM in the Waltner-SIMCHAK Funeral Home where a Saracusta Service will be held at 7:30 PM. Burial in Robertsville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers family request memorial tributes be made to St. George Romanian Catholic Cathedral, 1123-44th Street NE, Canton, Ohio 44714.
