Jackie R. Hupp

Jackie R. Hupp, 69, of Canton passed away on Thursday, April 10 in his residence. Jackie was born in Louisville on January 13, 1945, the son of the late Howard and Millie (Francis) Hupp; besides his parents also preceded in death by sisters Mary Kennedy-Hupp, Helen Ritchie; brothers James, Earl and Andy Hupp as well as great-granddaughter Kaylan Shahan.

Employed all his life as a laborer in the asphalt industry, retiring from Central Allied Asphalt in 1998 and a member of Laborer's Local #1015 of Canton.

Survived by two daughters Jackie Shahan of Canton, Ruth Hupp-Martin of Iowa; son Brian Hupp of Canton; three sisters Eleanor (William) Roettker of Texas, Rosie McClay of Cambridge, Effie Diehl of Alliance; two brothers John (Wilma) Hupp, Glenn (Bev) Hupp both of Canton; grandchildren Josh Shahan, Ashley Nichols, Dustin Shahan, Tabitha Clennan, Michael Ritchie; several great-grandchildren and his good friend Betty McCauley.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held in the Waltner-SIMCHAK Funeral Home on Monday, April 14; Friends may call from 6-8 PM followed by a short service at 8 PM with Pastor Louanne Zakaski officiating.
