Jacob L. Croston, 71, of Canton, passed away Thursday, May 30th, at Cleveland Clinic Mercy Medical Center. Born in Canton on August 12, 1952, a son of the late Jacob H. and Juanita (Allender) Croston. He was a 46 year member of Laborer's Local 1015 Union of Canton, where he was also a past Business Manager. He enjoyed hunting, motorcycles, and cussing at the TV during Cleveland Browns and Ohio State Buckeyes games. In his 71 years on Earth, his greatest accomplishment was being the best dad Crystal and Jake could have ever asked for in a 1000 lifetimes. He is survived by daughter Crystal Croston; son Jake Croston; 3 sisters Bonnie (Randy) Rivers, Anne (Linda) Mayle, Barbara (Ronnie) Kennedy; brother Joseph "Billy" Mayle; 3 grandchildren Oceanna Stillwell, Anaya Croston, Alfred "AJ" Cutshall; special cousins Dorothy "Dottie" (Rodney) Marshall, Edward "Little Eddie" Mayle; special friend Josephine Gulling; as well as many nieces; nephews; cousins; family members; and friends. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, June 6th from 5PM until 8PM in the Waltner-SIMCHAK Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 11AM on Friday, June 7th in Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery of Louisville.
