James Terry Howell, 41, of Canton, passed away Thursday, August 24th. Born in Maywood, IL on August 27, 1981, a son of the late Toni Howell and James Terry Woods, also preceded in death by grandmothers Johnnie Mae Howell, Willie Mae Woods, aunt Angelina Beard, uncle Hershey Woods. He enjoyed playing basketball and spending time with family and friends. As a young man, he enjoyed playing kickball in Alliance, Ohio with neighborhood friends. In his early 30's, he converted into the Islamic Faith. Survived by daughter Desiree May; 3 sons James Howell III, Isaac Howell; Daishawn Robinson; 2 sisters Crystal (Gerold) Howell, Tasha Howell; 2 brothers Marcus Howell, Kristen Howell; 3 grandchildren Queen, Leh'Oni, Santana; aunt Lucille (Charles) Buie; 3 uncles Wallace Woods, Calvin Howell Jr., Frank Woods; cousins Patrick Sr. (Lora), Tawandga, Charnetta, including special cousin Terrance; best friend Keith Pounds; 7 nephews, 5 nieces, 2 great-nieces; as well as a host of family members; and friends. A celebration of life will be held from 2PM to 6PM on Saturday, September 2nd at B&D's Banquet Room, 2354 Mahoning Rd NE, Canton, OH 44705.
