James Lawrence Shaeffer, 83, of Canton, passed away Tuesday, March 12th, at Mercy Medical Center. Born in Canton on April 28, 1940. He is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn L. (Wagner) Shaeffer; 2 daughters Michelle (Chris) Rohrig, Patricia (Ralph) Hoover; 2 sons Donald (Cheryl) Potts, Dalton (Kathy) Potts; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, James H. and Dorothy (Ledbetter) Shaeffer. No services will be held at this time.
