Obituary
James R. Sloan Sr., 66, of Canton passed away Friday June 22 , at Mercy Medical Center.
James was born in Canton, on December 31, 1945, the son of the late Homer and Virginia (Postlewait) Sloan.
He retired with more than 20 years of service from Morrow Control , a veteran of the US Army, having served during the Vietnam Era, and coached Mighty Mite Baseball in Canton for 25 years.
Survived by his wife of 43 year, Marianne M. (Lof) Sloan; 2 daughters Patty Sloan and Ghislaine Boyce;
son James R. Sloan Jr.; and 8 grandchildren.
Military graveside service at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery 10175 Rawiga Rd., Rittman, on Friday June 29th, at 10:30 AM.
