Jeffrey Peters, 74, of Canton, passed away Sunday, December 29th, at home surrounded by loved ones. Born in Canton, on June 19, 1950, a son of the late Robert W. and Elisabeth (McKibben) Peters. Besides his parents he is preceded in death by sister Judith Klatt and brother Robert L. Peters. Jeffrey retired as an Operating Engineer with the Local 18. He was head trustee and a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #141 for 20 years, a lifetime member of the NRA as well as a member of the Louisville American Legion Post 548 and VFW Post 7490. Survived by loving wife of 32 years Michele Peters; 2 daughters Kelly (Nick) Mertens, Elisabeth (Brandon) Peters; sister Mary Lou Schram as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family members and friends. A celebration of life will be held in the Waltner-Simchak Funeral home on Friday January 3rd from 3 PM- 5 PM.
