Jerdia Maria Tyson, 74, of Canton, passed away Tuesday, February 1st, at Mercy Medical Center. Born in Huntsville, Alabama on December 24, 1947, a daughter of Mae Florence and the late Ernest Rhodes, also preceded in death by loving husband Marvin Tyson and brother Jon Carlton. She was a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church of Canton. Besides her mother, she leaves to cherish her memory daughter Tonya Tyson, 2 sons Timothy Hall, Charles Tyson, all of Canton; 2 sisters Jennifer Lynn Grantham, of Columbus, Jessica Freeman, of Canton; 2 brothers James (Mary) Rhodes, of Canton, Josephus (Carla) Carlton, of Warren and grandson Timothy Hall Jr. as well as great-grandson Sekani and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, February 8th in the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church of Canton with Pastor Charles E. Prince officiating. Friends and family may call 1 hour prior to services, also in the church. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery.
