Joel Thomas  Minnick, 77, of Canton, formerly of Florida, passed away Tuesday, April 18th, at Astoria Skilled Nursing Facility following a brief illness. Born in Bedford, Indiana on September 7, 1939. Employed as a truck driver and carnival ride operator for Snyder Amusements of Pennsylvania and Megerle Shows of Florida and many others. Served in the U.S. Army as a PFC.  Survived by his close friend and caregiver of over 30 years Jerold A. Petty.  A memorial committal service will be held at 1:30pm, Friday, May 5th at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery with Rev. Steve Manko officiating with full military honors to follow.
