John  Merriweather, Jr., 83, of Canton passed away Tuesday, November 8th, while in the company of family members  at Aultman Hospital following a brief illness.

Born in Montgomery, AL on December 17, 1927 to the late John and Julia (Bullet) Merriweather, also preceded in death by his loving wife Ethel Mae,  sons, Wille George and Mike Merriweather.

He leaves to mourn in his passing his children, Lula (Ralph), Robert (Gonzella), David (Vicki), Larry (Wendy), Jamela (Gordon), Tyrone, sisters Susie (JD), Bertha (Glen), Mammie (Ted), brothers Bob (Kim), Early (Mary) Merriweather, also grandchildren and great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, best friend Dan, and many other friends.

"Come unto me all who labor and are weary and I will give you rest..."

Funeral Services will be held at 12pm (noon), Tuesday, November 15, in the Waltner-Simchak Funeral Home with Rev. Jessie Hudson officiating.  Friends may call at 11am until time of services also on Tuesday. Interment in Evergreen cemetery.
