John P. "Sharp" Keen, 55, of Malvern, Ohio, ended his Journey Through This Storm at Hennis Care Centre of Dover on March 18, 2015, after a long battle with cancer. A son of Jerry and Phyllis (Wood) Keen, John was born on May 18, 1959 in Mt. Vernon, Illinois.

John had a love of music that began at the age of six. It blossomed throughout his life and merged with his love of Christ when he became a worship leader.  He moved to Ohio in 1984 to start his career in the oilfield, which became his passion. He worked for Circle C Excavating. John was an avid hunter and gun owner, loved his country and touching the lives of people through his words and laugh.

Survived by his parents; daughter, Victoria (Keen) Albaugh of Dover, 2 step-daughters, Cristie (Tom) Swartz of Canton, Stephanie Townsend of Chicago, IL; their mother, Cheryl Townsend of Paris, OH; 1 sister Paula (Carl) Wilson; 3 brothers Jeff Keen, Jarrell (Suellen) Keen, Jaydee Keen all of Mt. Vernon, IL; 4 grandchildren Arianna Albaugh, Gavin Swartz, Carter Swartz and Chase Swartz; several nieces, nephews, friends, and brothers and sisters in Christ.

Friends may call on March 21, 2015 from 2pm-4pm at Beechwood Christian Church, 12950 Easton St NE, Alliance, OH 44601. A Celebration of John's Life will follow at 4pm. Friends may also call on March 23, 2015 from 5pm to 8pm at Meadowbrook Christian Church, 840 Meadowbrook Rd, Mt. Vernon, IL 62864. Funeral service will be held at Meadowbrook Christian Church on March 24, 2015 at 11am.  John will be laid to rest at Sursa Cemetery in Mt. Vernon, IL.
