Rev. John E. McCabe

Rev. John E. McCabe, 69, of Canton went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 22 in the Mercy Medical Center.

John was born in Somerset, Ohio on January 26, 1945, the son of the late Clifford and Myrtle (Weiskiver) McCabe, also preceded in death by four sisters, Rosetta Angel, Audrey Riffle, Mary Pettit, Goldie Bacon and his twin brother Clifford McCabe Jr.

Employed as a machine operator at Iron Rock Capitol of Canton (formerly Metropolitan Ceramics) retiring in 2008 and dedicated many years of his life as an Evangelist for numerous Apostolic churches in the area.

Survived by his loving wife for 49 years, Charlotte L. (Parsons) McCabe, married May 23, 1964; two daughters Johnetta (David) Kovacs, Shannon (Larry) Burwell both of Louisville; two sons Stephen (Joyce) McCabe of Canton,  Dustin (Krista) McCabe of Massillon; as well as ten grandchildren and his mother-in-law and faithful friend Garnet Parsons.

Funeral Services will be held in the New Life Ministries of Louisville, 6140 Louisville St. NE, at 11 am on Wednesday, February 26 with Rev. Joe Boyd & Pastor Allen Rasnake officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6-8pm also in the church.

Burial to take place in Evergreen Memorial Gardens of Louisville.
