John Smith, 66, of Canton, passed away Wednesday, October 11th, at Altercare of Louisville Skilled Nursing Facility. Born in Canton, on November 19, 1956, a son of the late Frederic and Dolores "Dee" (Carson) Smith, also preceded in death by 2 brothers Micheal F. Smith and Robert J. Smith; sister Natalie Fogle. Employed for many years with the Republic Steel Corporation, working at the Canton, Massillon, and Lorain locations as a cranesman. Survived by daughter Charlott Smith; son Fred C Smith; sister Nadara (John) Padgett; brother Eric Smith; 5 grandchildren Eben, Adrin, and Lily Mends, Phellina and Alyja Smith, as well as nieces, nephews, family members, and friends. No services will be held at this time.
