Joseph Wayne McCartney, 41, of Philippi, WV, formally of Canton, passed away Monday, September 11th, at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. Born in Morgantown, WV on May 18, 1976, a son of the late Marvin Wayne Croston and Mary E. McCartney, also preceeded in death by a daughter Kaitlyn McCartney.  Employed as a Cashier at Shop and Save in Phillipi, WV. Survived by his sister Regina A. (Preston Smith) Croston, and brother Timothy L. (Bethany) Croston, all of Phillipi, WV; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many close friends. Funeral Services will be held 11am Tuesday, September 19th in the Waltner-SIMCHAK Funeral Home with Pastor Ron Mayle officiating. Friends may call 6-8pm Monday, September 18th in the funeral home.
