Julio C Fontes, 73, of East Canton, passed away Saturday, April 4th, at Mercy Medical Center. Born in Canton on June 11, 1946, a son of the late Christian and Vivian (Gonsalves) Fontes, also preceded in death by son Kevin Fontes, brother Edward C Fontes, and brothers in law and sisters in law Randolph and Carrie Jones and Mary Fontes, Brenda Fontes, John Fuller, and Lawrence Sidbury. A member of the former St. Pauls Catholic Church. Survived by wife Mamie (Jones) Fontes; 2 daughters Kelly Clax, of Canton, Ebony Fontes and spouse, of Canton; 3 sons Chris Clax, of Louisville, Kentucky, William Perkins and spouse, of Columbus, Ohio, Eric Evans, of East Canton; 4 sisters Carol Massey, Marie Pride, Sonja (Tyrone) Nance, Anna Marie (Carlton) Williams; 4 brothers Adelino C Fontes, Richard (Rosemary) Fontes, John Fontes, Maneul Fontes;15 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren as well as brothers in law and sisters in law Phil and Gloria Jones, Arlene Smith and spouse, Renee Sidberry and spouse, Michael Shepard and spouse The family, regretfully, will be keeping all services private to help control the spread of COVID19.
