June Vivian El departed this life Wednesday, December 18th peacefully surrounded by family after an extended illness. She was born in Canton, OH on April, 8th 1939 to the late James Bryant and Phylis Martin. After finishing school, she met and married John Nichols El and moved to Detroit, MI. After returning to Canton, she worked at Hoover Company for 17 years and retired from Mckinley Life Care after 11 years of service. She enjoyed cooking for friends and family and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She had a personality and spirit that could brighten any room she entered. She is preceded in death by her parents James Bryant and Phyliss Martin, her step mother Lena Bryant and her husband John Nichols El. She leaves to cherish her memories two sisters Delores (Ernest) Hawkins and Geraldine Jefferson; one daughter Denise (William) Milan; two grandchildren Toi (Eric) Bryant and Tenisha (Conray) Henley; four great-grandchildren Nashae Walker, Evan Henley, Kadisha Bryant and Ellis Henley; five great-great-grandchildren; two nephews Steven Bonner and Daryl Bryant; God daughter Marie Mcdonald and many other relatives and friends who will truly miss her. A memorial service will be held Monday, December 23rd at 1:00 PM in the Waltner-SIMCHAK Funeral Home with Reverend Sherman Martin officiating.
