Katherine
Seitaridis
Mar 14, 1949 — Oct 2, 2026
Katherine Seitaridis, 77, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away on October 2, 2026, leaving behind a beautiful legacy of unconditional love, kindness, and devotion to her family.
Born on March 14, 1949, in Germany, Katherine immigrated to America at just two years old. Throughout her life, she built something truly special-not simply a home, but a place where generations of her family would grow, gather, and always know they belonged.
Katherine was the one true love of her husband, Spiros. Together, they shared an extraordinary marriage of 53 years after only meeting each other 21 days before running to the court house. A marriage built on devotion, partnership, laughter, and an unwavering commitment to one another. Side by side, they created a beautiful life and a lasting legacy in America, rooted in family, hard work, and love. Their marriage was a testament to the strength of a lifelong partnership, and the life they built together became the foundation upon which generations of their family would grow.
Katherine was known for her extraordinarily kind heart, her quick wit, and her ability to make anyone who walked through her door feel like family. She never hesitated to care for someone in need, offer a home-cooked meal, or bring laughter into a room with her unforgettable sense of humor. Her door was always open, her table always had room for one more, and her heart seemed to have endless space for everyone she loved.
Above all else, Katherine was an incredible mother to her daughter, Maria. Their bond was one of deep love, devotion, and unwavering support. Katherine was Maria's greatest source of comfort, strength, and guidance, always there with encouragement, wisdom, and a listening ear. She celebrated Maria's joys, stood beside her through life's challenges, and loved her with a devotion that never wavered. Their relationship was a beautiful reflection of Katherine's generous heart and the lasting impact of a mother's love.
Katherine's greatest joy was her family. Her love and devotion extended far beyond the traditional role of a grandmother. She helped raise all five of her grandchildren, filling their childhoods with warmth, guidance, traditions, and unconditional love. As her family grew, so did her role, as she continued caring for and babysitting her great-grandchildren. Few things brought her more happiness than having her family close.
To her grandchildren, she was so much more than a Yiayia. She was a second mother, a best friend, a safe place to land, and a constant source of comfort. Her home was the heart of the family, filled with laughter, conversations around the kitchen table, the smell of her cooking, and the kind of love that made everyone feel they were exactly where they belonged.
Katherine is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Spiros Seitaridis; her daughter, Maria; her five cherished grandchildren, Aryanna, Alexa, Alayna, Anastasia, and Allen; and her nine adored great-grandchildren, seven great-granddaughters and two great-grandsons.
While her passing leaves an immeasurable emptiness in the hearts of those who loved her, Katherine's legacy lives on through the generations she helped raise, the traditions she passed down, the life she built with Spiros, and the countless lives she touched with her kindness.
She will be remembered in every family gathering, every favorite recipe, every shared laugh, and every moment her family comes together. The love she poured into her family will continue to be felt for generations to come.
Katherine was the heart of her family, the warmth of their home, and a love that will never be forgotten.
May her memory be eternal. Αιωνία της η μνήμη.
