Kayla M. Kelly



Kayla Mercedes Kelly, 25, of Canton , passed away Friday, July 6th, 2012 in Aultman Hospital after a long battle with sickle cell anemia. Born June 11, 1987 in Newport, RI to Doreen Kelly and Jessie J. Lockhart.  Graduated with honors from Timken Senior High School in 1997.

Survived by her grandmother who raised her Dorothy (Granny) Kelly; mother Doreen Kelly; daughter Jaylinah Johnson; aunt Deborah Peters; uncles Timothy (Garnettia) Kelly, Eugene Kelly; special cousins Mary Kendrick, Alice Long; special godfather Bernard Tarver; a host of family and great friends to many to mention.  A special thanks to Maria for staying with Kayla in the hospital her first critical night.

Memorial Services will be held at noon on Wednesday, July 11, in the Cathedral of Life Church located at 4111 38th Street NW in Canton with Rev. Dr. M. Dana Gammill Sr. officiating.  Friends may call from 11AM til time of services on Wednesday, also in the church.
