Keith Edward Young passed away at the Cleveland Clinic on Saturday, June 10th as a result of his battle with end stage renal failure for over 5 years.
Keith was born in Pittsburgh, PA on December 5, 1971 at 1:11 PM. He graduated from Wooster (Ohio) High School in 1989 and attended Eastern Michigan University (Ypsilanti, MI), Kent State University (Kent, OH) and the University of Akron (Akron, OH), gaining degrees in Business Administration at KSU in 1999 and a JD in Law at Akron Law School in 2005.
Keith held numerous jobs, most notably he was an instructor and Chair of the Criminal Justice Dept at Boheckers Business College from 2001-2010, was a Criminal Justice Instructor at Fortis College in 2010-2011, then worked at MIM Software before beginning to practice law.
Keith had many loves in his life. He deeply loved his family, his friends, and his kitties Tori (passed 2017), Miep (passed 2020), and Nyssa (7 years old). He had a great love of video games, professional wrestling, Cedar Point and roller coasters, the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Detroit Red Wings, Doctor Who and 80's music, especially Duran Duran.
Keith's love of wrestling lead to his involvement in Northeast Ohio Professional Wrestling and serving as the Sr VP of Operations at UWC – United Wrestling Council from 1999 to 2005. He also worked as play by play announcer, color commentator and wrestling performer for Real Action Pro Wrestling, with his most notable role as a manager known as the "Sex Symbol", receiving a RAPW Honor Roll award in 2016.
Keith is survived by his mother, Denise Mary (Gerhart) Young-Robb of North Canton, OH; his father, Charles Stephen Young (Jacqueline) of Virginia Beach, VA; his brother, Andrew Charles Young (Deborah) of Mason, OH; 5 sets of aunts and uncles; numerous cousins and one niece, Reagan Elizabeth Young of Mason, OH. He was preceded in death by his step-father, Phillip Loyd Robb of Canton, OH.
The family is planning a memorial service at a later date.
