Larry G. Baskin, 69, of Canton, passed away Wednesday, August 2nd, at the Glenwood Care and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Canton on March 7, 1954, a son of the late Herron and Nora (Key) Baskin, also preceded in death by son Larry Parks,  sister Evelyne Smith, and nephew Michael Roberson. Larry was a man of many talents and hobbies, enjoying photography, chess, fishing, singing, crossword puzzles and reading the newspaper, just to name a few. He leaves to cherish his memory 5 daughters Valerie Baity, Lorrie (Antejuan) Jackson, Alarrica Parks, Jamika Parks, Luscious Baskin; sister Bettye Grant; brother Herrin (Imke) Baskin; 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren as well as a host of other family members and loving friends including neighbor Jaci Roberts-Weatherspoon and Randy Young, who he loved like a son. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, August 8th in the Waltner-SIMCHAK Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Thomas and First Lady Jeanna Thomas officiating.
