Lawrence L. (Larry) Spieth
Larry was carried away to the happy hunting ground on Friday, June 29. Born on March 16, 1943 to the late Charles E. and Mary Jane Spieth. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Larry was a man full of life that seized every adventure and inspired those around him with his humor and spirit. He loved telling stories of his days as a grip in Hollywood at DesiLu Studios. He was an accomplished salesman who loved a good challenge. Larry enjoyed the Kentucky Derby, Cleveland Indians, golfing, tennis and playing baseball with his grandchildren. He also found much joy in being the star of a feature called "Hello Larry" on 95.5 The Fish, in which he shared words of wisdom, wit, and faith. Most of all Larry was a devoted husband to his bride of 44 years, Joan. They shared a storybook love, and explored the world together.
Larry is survived by his wife, Joan, daughter Colleen (Jim) Waller, sons Patrick (Shelly), Matthew, seven grandchildren, sister Linda (Frank) Trubicza, special cousin Marion (Art) Lowry, niece Julie (Bobbi) Wright II, and nephew Eric (Tammy) Trubicza.
A memorial mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, July 14, in St. Paul's Catholic Church, 241 S. Main St., North Canton with Fr. Jay Clarke as celebrant. In lieu of flowers any donations for final/medical expenses would be humbly received.
