In Loving Memory of Leon Rysak July 25, 1959 – March 28, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Leon Rysak on March 28, 2025, at the age of 65. Leon was a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend. He was surrounded by his family in his final moments at his home in Canton, Ohio, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness that will forever be cherished.

Leon was born on July 25, 1959, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, a son of the late Eugene and Frances Rysak. He graduated from Saint Adalbert's and Northeast Catholic High School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where he played Baseball and Basketball and developed interest in Football. He was a big fan of the Philadelphia Eagles Football Team, Philadelphia Phillies Baseball Team, Philadelphia Flyers Ice Hockey Team, Cleveland Browns Football Team, and Cleveland Indians now known as Cleveland Guardians Baseball Team. After High School, he went to study Business Administration at La Salle University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Industrial Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering degree at Spring Garden College Technical Division from 1981 to 1985 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, dedicating over 30 years working as an Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer and inspiring many young talent at every company he worked at.

Throughout his life, Leon had a strong faith in God and the Catholic Church, he exhibited a profound dedication to his family and community, demonstrating laughter, compassion, and support. He cherished family time, provided for his loved ones, enjoyed cooking and traveling, and participated in community service Lions Club International Social Services deliver holiday food baskets to the people in need, including helping children, disaster and humanitarian relief and poverty alleviation programs and many other community service programs.

Survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Charity Rysak with their 4 sons Jacob (15), Eugene (13), Francis (11), and Jason Rysak (9), as well as his daughter Stacy (46) and his son Leon E. Rysak (43), and as well as his 3 older brothers Raymond, Michael, and John Rysak. Leon's warmth and generosity touched many lives, and he will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by his family and all who knew him.

Leon Rysak was added to the Parish of Saint Joan of Arc Catholic Church prayer list of the deceased bulletin and mentioned in the Sunday's Mass Petition in Canton, Ohio and the Parishes in Pennsylvania where his brothers attend. May his soul be blessed in heaven and rest in peace.
