Leonard Leon Collins, 73, of Canton, formerly of Las Vegas, Nevada,. passed away Friday, September 12th. Born in Philippi, West Virginia on March 5, 1952, a son of the late Orrville and Juanita Collins. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Eric Collins, 2 sisters Barbara Collins & Lulubelle Mayle, brother, Cecil Collins, and great-grandchild Baby Mayle. Survived by daughter Kristina (James) Mayle; girlfriend of 38 years, Charlene Tanner; 5 grandchildren James, Hunter, Ethan, Jayda, Dylan; 10 great-grandchildren Novalee, Dawson, Nolan, Amelia, Hayven, Eden, Emersynn, Henry, Navee, Gianni; caregiver Anita Mayle; as well as many nieces; nephews; family members and friends, including best friends Delane, Norman, Danny, Kenny; and ex-wife Linda Newman. Calling hours will be held Thursday, September 18th from 6PM until 8PM in the Waltner-SIMCHAK Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at Noon on Friday, September 19th in the Canton Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Anthony Mayle officiating. Burial will take place in Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery, of Louisville.
