Linda Kay
Adams
Jun 19, 1951 — Jul 8, 2026
Linda Kay Adams (Hatfield), 75, passed away on Wednesday, July 8 at Cleveland Clinic Hospital. Born in Massillon on June 19, 1951, she was the daughter of the late James and Dorothy (Inherst) Hatfield. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two husbands Charles Croston, Lendell Adams, two twin daughters Christine and Charlene Hatfield, brother James Hatfield, and her stepdaughter Charlotte Jo Croston. Linda will be remembered as a woman whose vibrant personality and kind heart left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her. She spent many years as a dedicated cosmetologist, helping others look and feel their best through her talent and care. Later in life, she embraced a new career with Laborers' Local 1015, where her strong work ethic and determination earned the respect of those who worked alongside her.
Above all else, Linda's greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted and loving mother and a proud grandmother who cherished every moment spent with those she loved. Her heart was equally devoted to her two beloved dogs, Mimi and Cookie, who brought her endless companionship and happiness and whom she adored beyond measure.
Her faith was an important part of her life, and she loved attending services at Canton Baptist Temple, where she found fellowship, encouragement, and a welcoming church family.
Linda had a personality that naturally drew people to her. Outgoing, warm, and genuinely friendly, she never met a stranger. Whether she was striking up a conversation with someone new or sharing a laugh with an old friend, she had a remarkable way of making everyone feel welcome. She found joy in life's simple pleasures, from spending afternoons searching for hidden treasures at garage sales to enjoying a game of bingo. She was rarely without her beloved cigarettes, a familiar part of the woman her family and friends knew so well.
Linda's warmth, humor, and unmistakable spirit will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and everyone whose life she touched with her kindness, conversation, and genuine love for people.
Survived by 2 daughters Deborah (Lee Jr.) Spaulding, Mary Hatfield; son Charles Hatfield; 16 grandchildren Brandon, Mathew, Dominica, Allison, Charlie Beth, Brianna, Charles Jr., Julia, Markus, RJ, Dylan, Cody, Angel, Johnathan, Kaitlyn, Kelsey; numerous great grandchildren; 3 stepdaughters Pamela Croston, Marie Cook, Sherry Croston; her 2 beloved dogs Mimi & Cookie; as well as other loving family members and friends.
