Lola M Evans, 84, of Canton, passed away Thursday, October 31st, at The Pines Healthcare Center. Lola Mae Taylor, Parsons, Evans was born on February 22, 1940 in Philippi, West Virginia to Herman and Roselean Taylor. Lola attended school in West Virginia. When Lola was a teen they moved to Canton, Ohio where she attended Timken High School. Lola had three children; Audy Taylor, Carmen and Beverly Parsons. Lola was a nurse in Canton, Ohio until November 1983. She then moved to Oklahoma to be close to her daughter. Lola worked as a nurse in Oklahoma until June 8,1999. She then moved back to Canton, Ohio and remained working as a nurse until 2005, her illness no longer allowed her to work. Lola enjoyed talking and playing with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Lola listened to country and gospel music. Lola also loved to sing.  Lola is preceded in death by her mother Roselean Taylor, her father Herman Taylor, one sister Perry Mayle, two brothers Russell and Sammie Taylor, and one son Carmen Parsons. Lola leaves to cherish her memory one son Audy (Paulette) Taylor of Canton, Ohio, one daughter Beverly (Leon) Dow of Blanchard Oklahoma, one brother Errick Taylor of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and a special niece Sue Mayle. Lola had 14 grandchildren and numerous great grand -children and great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1pm on November 5th in the Waltner-Simchak Funeral Home, friends may call 1 hour prior to services in the funeral home. Burial will take place in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.

Roses For My Mother

If Roses grow in heaven, Lord please pick a bunch for me. Place them in my mother's arms, and tell her they're from me. Tell her I love her and miss her, and when she turns to smile. Place a kiss upon her cheek, and hold her for a while because remembering her is easy I do it everyday But there's an ache within my heart that will never go away I love you mommy, your daughter, Beverly.
