Lonnie Ferguson was born in Suffolk, VA on January 23, 1950. He passed away on August 28, 2025, in Canton, OH, at 4:40 p.m. Lonnie was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Brinkley-White; his father, William Ferguson; his stepfather, Maso "Diddy" White; one brother, William "Bubba" Ferguson; two sisters, Yvonne Ransom (married to Gilbert) and Juanita Morrison (married to Dave); his youngest daughter, Patrice Monique Ferguson; and a host of other relatives.

He is survived by his wife, Sharona Ferguson, of Lexington, KY; two children: daughter Ronie (Paul) Cousins of Canton, OH, and son Jonathan Valentine of Lexington, KY; and two bonus daughters, Randi Ferguson of Columbus, OH, and Tina Coleman of New Philadelphia, OH. He also leaves behind one brother, Jonnie Ferguson of Canton, OH; eighteen grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and other siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.
