Lonny Smart, 60, of Dennison passed away December 22, 2025. Born in Dover on June 27, 1965, a son of the late Sharon (Zedi) Smart and Robert Smart. Besides his mother he is preceded in death by his step-father Leo and brother-in-law Mike Cottrell. Lonny was the owner of LA Smart Alignment in Dennison for many years, where he built not only a successful business but also many lasting friendships with loyal customers he truly appreciated. He enjoyed hunting and watching old western movies, and he was well known for his playful teasing and sense of humor. Lonny also cherished quiet moments napping alongside his beloved dog, Kai, who also preceded him in death. Besides his father he is survived by loving wife of 39 years Lori Cottrell; daughter Alyssa Smart; sister Bonny (Steve) Lyons; step-brother Danny; sisters-in-law Melinda (Greg) Grant, Darlene Cottrell; brother-in-law Kurt (Rachelle) Cottrell; mother-in-law Judy Edwards; as well as many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
