Obituary

Mae Annie Weems, 79, of Massillon, passed away Friday, February 17th, at Meadow Wind Nursing Home surrounded by loved ones. Born in Montgomery, Alabama on December 6, 1943, a daughter of the late Obie and Annabell (Sigers) Simmons, also preceded in death by sister Sally Simmons, 3 brothers W.T. Collier, Roosevelt Simmons, and Ruben Simmons. An ordained minister, she dedicated her life to the Lord, she was a member of the Holiness Church of Christ of Akron, and was employed at Kistlers Bakery, also of Akron, before retiring. Survived by son Edward (Brittany) Weems 3 sisters Ann Thomas, Annette Warren, Camilla Muses; 2 brothers Soloman Simmons, Phillip Warren; 5 grandchildren Terrell, Jordan, Lyric, Dameion, Kyndal; as well as a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; family members; and friends. No services will be held at this time.
