Manuel L. Fontes, II, 64, of Canton, passed away Monday, December 27th, at Mercy Medical Center. Born in Canton on January 26, 1957, a son of Manuel Fontes, of Cape Verde and Frances (deBrito) Fontes, of Fargo, ND. Preceded in death by his sister Theresa Armstrong. Self employed in construction for over 20 years. Besides his parents, he is survived by 5 sons Manuel L. Fontes, of East Canton, Antonio J. (Latrice) Fontes, Mark A. (Cessandra) Fontes, Eddie J. Kay, Cyrus L. Kay, all of Canton; brothers Mathias Fontes, of Grand Forks, ND, Bud Fontes, of Finley, ND, Paul Fontes, of Canton, Elwood Blanc, of NY.; as well as 12 grandchildren and Cheryl Olsteen (his thug) that fought by his side all the way. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM on Monday, January 3rd in the St. Benedict's Catholic Church of Canton.
