Marie Evelyn (Runkle) Huff, Age 96, of Canton, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, August 13, 2011, peacefully at Emeritus Assisted Living of Canton.

A graduate of Louisville High School class of 1933, Marie worked at Aultman Hospital and retired in 1976 after 23 years, and a member of First Church of the Nazarene, active in the choir and Keenagers.  She worked at the polls during election time and was a member of Delta Chapter No. 539, Order of Eastern Star since 1951.  Marie was an artist and enjoyed oil painting, golfing, playing cards and baking.  She enjoyed traveling and wintering in McAllen, Texas with her husband, Jim, for 30 years.

Born in Limaville, Ohio on May 21, 1915 to the late Charles and Murel Runkle, also preceded in death by two brothers Paul and Wilbur Runkle, two sisters, Leona and Martha Runkle; husband James E. Huff and two infant children.

She married James E. Huff on May 8, 1937, and they celebrated 73 years of marriage together!!

Survived by her son James E. (Ann) Huff, Jr, three grandchildren, Deborah A Huff, Kathleen L. (Steven) Clay, all of Canton, Lisa M. (Kevin) Garner, of Fairlawn, four great-grandchildren, Brianna, Elijah, Moriah, and Joshua Clay; one great-granddaughter, Serenity Elizabeth Wieand, of Canton, three sisters, Wilma (David) Henning of Canton, Dora Wilson of Ft. Worth, TX, Elma Winter of Dallas, TX, and one brother, Charles Runkle of Tampa, FL.

Funeral Services will be held at the First Church of the Nazarene on Sunday, August 21, 2011 at 2:30 p.m. with _____________officiating. Friends are invited to call at the church from 1:30pm until time of services.
