Mary S Ardelea

Mary S Ardelea, 101, of North Canton, passed away Wednesday, January 6th, in the St. Luke's Lutheran Home. Born in Palos, Romania,  on January 31, 1914, a daughter of the late Vasile and Ana (Vocila) Sica; Widow of George Ardelea who passed away October 7, 1991. Married in Romania October 25, 1931 and arrived in the USA November 1931, they were married almost 59 years. Also preceded in death by daughter Mary Helen Ardelea (1935-1936), sister Ana Sucia, and brother George Sica. Mary was the oldest member of St. George Romanian Orthodox Church, St. George's Ladies Axillary and the Church Choir. Survived by son Donald (Nikki) Ardelea; 2 grandsons Anthony (Jennifer Malesick) Ardelea, all of Canton, Christopher and his wife Jessica Ardelea, of Columbus; great-grandsons Jaden, Austin, of Canton, Nicholas, Eli, and Samuel, of Columbus; brother Mihai (Maria) Sica, in Romania; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 9 ^th at 11 am in the St. George Romanian Orthodox Church with Very Rev. Fr. George J. Treff officiating.

Friends may call one hour prior from 10-11am, also on Saturday in the church.

Interment will be in Forrest Hill Cemetery.
