Mary Barsan, age 96 of North Canton, passed away at home on the morning of February 8th, 2018 after a brief illness. Born in Youngstown on December 7th, 1921 and was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Micu) Rotar, also preceded in death by her husband Filaret Barsan, son-in-law George "Gigi" Stelea, 2 brothers, John and Dan Rotar. She was a member of St. George Romanian Orthodox Church of Canton. Survived by her three daughters and son-in-laws, Carol and Albert Schweitzer of San Diego, CA, Laura and Mustafa Saraclar and Barbara "Bobbie" Stelea all of North Canton; four grandchildren, Christine and Mike Hickey, Michael Schweitzer, George "Ghita" and Georgiana Stelea and Jennifer and Robert "Bobby" Beadle; 4 great-grandchildren, Alexandra Hickey, Blake Beadle, Valentina and Sebastian Stelea and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 10am on Saturday, February 10th at St. George Romanian Orthodox Church, 144 30th St. NW, Canton, Ohio, with Rev. Fr. Ionel Satnoianu officiating. Friends may call  from 6-9PM on Friday, February 9th also in the church with a Saracusta service at 8PM. Interment at Forest Hill Cemetery.
