Maryellen Dawson, 78, passed away January 6th, 2026. Maryellen worked for Republic Steel for 21 years before retiring in 1991. Preceded in death by father O.C. Jackson and mother Dorothy Tichenor, 3 sisters Gayle Matthews, Diane Pickett, Cynthia Harlan and grandson William Serban. She leaves behind 2 daughters Jennifer Jackson, Laurie Martin; son Gene Dawson; 2 sisters Sharon Chaney, Christine Daniska; 6 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; a very "special friend" Deb Stolicny and "lil" brother Robert Goe; a numerous amount of nieces and nephews as well as other family members and friends. There will be no services per her wishes.
