Michael General Owens, 75, of Canton, passed away Tuesday, December 22nd, at Hospice House in Poland, Ohio. Born in Canton on October 15, 1945, a son of the late Robert and Effie (Perry) Owens, also preceded in death by sisters Arthelma Gibbs, Shirley Williams and Lovie Williams. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Conflict. Survived by wife Shirley (McLin) Owens; 6 daughters Tia and Tonee Owens, both of Atlanta, Georgia, Ta-Tanisha Owens, Tammy (Joe) Martin, Tiana (James) Walker, Sharon Payne, all of Canton; 2 sons Terrence (Darlene) Owens, Karlus Clayton, all of Canton; brother Clarence Owens, of Canton as well as numerous grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Private services were held.
