Millard Joseph Wood II, 63, of Canton, passed away Saturday, April 13th, at McCrea Manor Nursing & Rehab. Born in Akron, on June 20, 1960, the son of Myrtle (Waller) Wood and the late Millard Joseph Wood, also preceded in death by sister Marsha "Monnie" Wood. Besides his mother, he is survived by his wife Jill M. (Stevens) Wood, of the home; 3 sons Millard J. Wood III, of Charlotte, North Carolina, Mylan A. (Jessica) Thomas, of Louisville, and Mylez X. Wood, of Cleveland; 2 daughters Mercedez S. Wood, of Columbus and Jilynn Birdsong, of Canton; 2 step-sons James A. Hawkins and Channing O. Hawkins, both of Canton; sister Michele A. Wood; 10 grandchildren Millard J. Wood IV, Mikayla M. Wood, Mylan A. Thomas II, Malorie Thomas, Journey Wood, Ayonna Hawkins, Jayce Hawkins, Jordyn Hawkins, Jaden Hawkins, and Yara Hawkins; 3 nieces Montoya Wood, Marcheena Rhoden, and Markeisha Wood; special niece MyLeka S. Wood; special great nieces Me'Khia Wood, Michele Cano, and Miyah Johnson; as well as a host of other great nieces, great nephews, family members and friends. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 11th in the St. Paul's AME Church from 12-1 PM. Calling hours will be held one hour prior to services. 1800 Tuscarawas St E, Canton, OH 44707
