Novella Van Almen, 86, of Canton, passed away Thursday, August 24th, at Aultman Woodlawn Compassionate Care Center following an extended illness. Born in Valley, North Carolina on March 30, 1931, a daughter of the late Luke and Bertha (Hughes) Gouge, also preceded in death by 1st. husband Ike Osborne, 2nd. husband Edward Van Almen, 2 sons Ronnie Osborne, Ricky Osborne, and step son Jimmy Van Alman. She was a member of the Canton Baptist Temple. She is survived by 4 daughters Sandy Condello, of San Clemente, CA, Sharon Shaw, of Canton South, Vicki Houtz, of North Canton, Tammy Popa, of Canton South; 2 sons Roger Osborne, of Canton, Todd Van Almen, of North Canton; 3 step sons Eddie Van Almen, of Canton South, Danny Van Almen, of Plain Township, Bobby Van Almen, of Marion, OH; brother Robert Gouge, of Canton; 18 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and one great-great- granddaughter. A special thanks to Jen Reese of Aultman Hospice. Funeral Services will be held August 31st, at 2PM in the Waltner-SIMCHAK Funeral Home with Rev. Joseph Kampert officiating.
