Osmar Mayle, 90, of Canton, passed away Wednesday, June 6th, at his residence following a brief illness. Born in Philippi, West Virginia on December 12, 1927, a son of the late Rethal Mayle and Myrtle (Kennedy) Collins. Besides his wife, Rosetta Mayle, who died July 31, 1991; he is also preceded in death by infant daughter Linda Sue, a daughter, Connie Mayle and numerous brothers and sisters. Employed as bar finisher at Republic Steel for 37 years. Survived by daughter Delores "Jean" (Robert) Newman, of Massillon; son Gary Lee (Cathy) Mayle of Canton; sister Juanita Collins, of Philippi, WV; 4 grandchildren Stephanie (Bill) Shelt, Christopher Newman, Gary Edward Mayle, Daniel Mayle; 3 great-granddaughters; and a special friend Betty Morrison. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 11th in the Canton Freewill Baptist Church, 2817 Harmont Ave NE, Canton, OH 44705 at 12 noon with Bishop Marvin "Jack" Mayle officiating. Friends may call on Sunday, June 10th from 5 pm until 8 pm in the Waltner-SIMCHAK Funeral Home. Burial will take place Monday, June 11th at Evergreen Memorial Gardens following the funeral services.
