Patricia Salisbury of Louisville, 83, passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2026 at Mercy Hospital. Born in Manhattan, New York on March 3, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Peter Rath and Emily Bakes. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter Mary Lou Neighbors, and her brother Richard Swoboda. On October 8, 1967, Patricia married the love of her life, Ronald, beginning a beautiful journey together that was built on love, commitment, and countless treasured memories. Their marriage stood as a testament to enduring devotion and partnership through life's many seasons. Patricia's greatest joy was her family. She loved spending time with those she held dear, creating lasting memories through holidays, gatherings, and everyday moments. Her home was a place of warmth and comfort, where family always came first. In her free time, Patricia enjoyed watching classic old westerns, often spending hours captivated by the stories and characters of a bygone era. She also found excitement and friendship in playing bingo, a pastime she thoroughly enjoyed throughout the years. For the past fifty years, Patricia passionately collected Betty Boop memorabilia, building an impressive collection that reflected her enthusiasm and appreciation for the beloved cartoon icon. What began as a simple interest grew into a lifelong hobby that brought her much happiness and became one of her signature passions. Patricia will be remembered for her loving nature, her dedication to her family, and the joy she found in life's simple pleasures. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her, and the countless moments shared with her will be treasured forever.
