Philip D. Gebhart, 52, of Canton, passed away Saturday, July 30th, peacefully at his residence, following a brief illness.
Born in Canton , on November 15, 1958, the son of the late Herman D. and Shirley A. (Mullinex) Gebhart.
A member of the Sanctuary Church of God of East Canton. Philip was employed for 30 years as a Janitorial Supervisor with the Held Company of Canton.
Survived by his wife Tammy C. (Herbert) Gebhart, whom he married on May 16, 2009, a daughter, Stephanie (Robert) Yost of Louisville; three step sons Matthew, Kristopher, and Benjamin Mills all of the home; 4 grandchildren: T.J., Tyler, David and Jonah, two sisters, Judy (Lawrence) Hardbarger of Elizabeth, WV, Marilyn Hileman of Waynesburg; two brothers, Larry (Sherry) Gebhart of Massillon, and Dale Gebhart of Canton, Father and Mother-in-Law Richard and Carole Herbert of Canton.
Funeral Service will be held at the Sanctuary Church of God, 6535 Maplebrook St., E. Canton, at 11:00 am on Tuesday, August 2nd, with Rev. Steve Stewart officiating. Friends are invited to call on Monday, August 1st from 6-8pm and Tuesday from 10am till time of services, ALL SERVICES AND CALLING HOURS ARE AT THE CHURCH. Interment at Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Louisville.
