Philip Alan Taylor

Philip Alan Taylor, 85, of Canton, formally of Portland, OR, passed away on Tuesday, August 6th, 2013 at his residence following a lengthy illness.

Philip was born in Iowa City, IA on July 26, 1928, the son of the late Charles Fletcher and Harriet Louise (Sack) Taylor. Also preceded in death by his wife Jeannie (Morris) Taylor; two sisters, Charlotte (Shottie) Shepherd, Margo Haynes; three brothers, Dave, Dick and Dan Taylor. Served as a Major in at The United States Airforce retiring on Jan 31, 1973.

Survived by  two daughters Carrie (Ken) Matynka of Canton, Ruth Taylor of New York City, NY;  three sons Daniel (Kathy) Taylor of Wichita, KS,  Philip (Stephanie) Taylor Jr. of Tucson, AZ, Joseph (Nicole) Taylor of New York City, NY; sister Lou Catalina of California; brother Thomas Taylor of Olathe, KS.; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Also survived by Sally Harrington and Teri Martindale. Services will be held in Norton, Kansas at a later date.
