Phyllis N. King, 92, of Canton, passed away Monday, December 18th, at Hennis Care Center of Bolivar following a sudden illness. Born in Bowerston, on December 8th, 1925, a daughter of the late Frank and Helen (Buckridge) Host; also preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Hamrick, 2 brothers Harold Host and Carl Host Sr. Employed as a waitress at Walthers Cafe for over 30 years before retiring in 1987. Survived by 2 sisters Shirley Tongret, of Canton, Carol Tersigni, of Florida; also survived by 2 grandchildren Michelle Carpenter, of Beach City, Denise Baer, of Wisconsin, 5 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held noon Friday, December 22nd, in the Waltner-Simchak Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Sunset Hills Burial Park.
