Richard Charles Blakney, 69, of Akron, passed away Friday, September 28th, at Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital. Born in Barberton, on January 29, 1949, a son of the late Charles Sidney and Margaret Velma (Ehser)  Blakney. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister Janice (Blakney) Cottle formerly of Kailua-Kona, Hawaii and a brother Dennis Blakney formerly of Coco Beach, Florida. Employed as a mill operator for Revlis Corporation Nation, Richard also served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era. Survived by a son Charley Frazier, of Dover and 2 sisters Bonnie Sue Blakney, of Akron and Carol  Armstrong, of Bonita Springs, FL. No services will be held.
