Richard B. Brumbaugh

Richard B. Brumbaugh, 84, of Canton passed away Sunday, May 18th, 2014 at Bethany Nursing Home of Canton. Richard was born in Canton on April 4, 1930, the son of the late George H and Nellie (Smith) Brumbaugh; also preceded in death by his wife Lavicia Ann (Wheeler) Brumbaugh, a sister Pauline Hester and a brother Arlen 'Pete' Brumbaugh. Formerly employed as a custodian and shop supervisor with the Canton Philomatheon Society of the Blind for 15 years.

Survived by nephews Eric Koontz of Massillon, Kevin (Michele) Koontz of Louisville, companion Stella Lindsey of Canton as well as two great-nieces Kayla (Christopher) Hollinger, Amanda (Andrew) Watson and a great-nephew Nathan (Elaine) Koontz.

Funeral Services will be held in the Waltner-SIMCHAK Funeral Home at 7:30 on Thursday, May 22, with Pastor Shirley Kessler officiating. Friends may call same-day from 6 PM until time of service also in the funeral home. Private burial to take place on Friday in Forrest Hill Cemetery.
