Richard G Overly Jr., 75, of Canton, passed away Friday, March 25th, at Mercy Medical Center. Born in Mount Pleasant, Pennsylvania, on May 30, 1946, the third son of the late Rev. Richard Sr. and Ruth (Sell) Overly, also preceded in death by 2 brothers David and Dennis Overly. Employed for 35 years as a supervisor with Davey Tree before retiring and becoming a patient transporter for Aultman Hospital. He was a member of the Eden Church of the Brethren. Survived by daughter Nancy (Robert) Dorsey; son Tito (Treva) Overly, all of Canton; 2 brothers Darrel Overly, of Michigan, Walt (Jane) Overly, of Berlin Center; 7 grandchildren Annissa, Ashley, Briana, Tiana, TJ, Alexis, and Madison; 7 great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces; nephews; family members; and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM on Monday, April 4th in the Eden Church of the Brethren, 4437 Richville Dr. SW, Canton, with Pastor Wayne Scott officiating. Friends and family may call two hours prior to services also at the church.
