Rick Alan Nero, 63, of Canton, passed away Monday, October 3rd, in his home. Born in Canton on July 30, 1959, a son of the late Royal and Wanda "Ponnie" (Flanigan) Nero Sr. Employed for 44 years at Republic Steel in Canton, Rick was an auxiliary member of VFW 3747. Survived by daughter Ashley (Ronald Jr.) Astrino, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; sister Alice Helm, of Canton; 2 brothers Royal Nero Jr., of Canton, Ronald Nero, of Louisville and 2 grandchildren Trinity and Bray as well as nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, October 7th in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
